Yeah so, this game is EXTREMELY CPU intensive, and even with an 8700k at 5.0 GHz I still occasionally see a CPU bottleneck. One remedy for this is to set the executable to High Priority via Task Manager (I prefer Process Hacker because you have the option of saving the setting to avoid having to set it when launching the game in the future) but with this game I am unable to do so. nice handles the priority of CPU access, not I/O access. PROCESS_MODE_BACKGROUND_BEGIN lowers I/O priority as well as CPU priority, and requires kernel features that don't exist in XP and older.
